Affirmations for Your Authentic Self

Updated: Apr 14, 2022

There are few things more meaningful than being accepted as your true self. Being loved for who you are is empowering, but some of us may be struggling to feel the love from the world around us. Here are some affirmations that can help you build confidence, self-love, and positive self-talk.

You Are Loved By Yourself

For some of us, our first source of love is our reflection. When you look at yourself, speak powerful words of self-acceptance with sincerity. Say them aloud and repeat them with great meaning. The message that you are loved for who you are should be loud and clear.

Affirmation: Loving myself inside and out gives me the confidence to share myself with others.

This the solution to stepping out while leaving doubts behind. Today, the physical frame that you have blessed with houses a beautiful soul worthy of love. Each day is an opportunity to remind yourself of that. Look in the mirror and smile at what you see because your reflection is pure and true.

You Are Loved By Others

Having people in your life who show you that you are loved for who you are showing you the value of inclusion. Their support should help to keep you confident in your beliefs and the path that you are on. So, it may be helpful to affirm that this is true even when the world makes us feel like it isn’t.

Affirmation: The love I receive from the people in my life inspires me to be empathetic to the plight of others.

Your community teaches you to have a voice. Your circle of friends surrounds you with encouragement, so their example then becomes your example for others.

You Are Loved By A Higher Power

If you have a spiritual practice, it can be very foundational to understanding love. Being more intentional with your practice can reinforce that you are loved for who you are. As a result, no matter what the world says – you will feel more supported and loved from the inside out.

Affirmation: When I give thanks to my creator, I am grateful for the courage to project my authentic self to the world.

Your gratitude not only connects you to your ultimate source of love but to people whose souls connect with yours. Their presence proves that there is a place in this world for you.

Take a moment to breathe, pour into yourself, and remind yourself that you are loved for who you are. Knowing that you are loved for who you are can make some of the worst days easier to bear. When you have a moment to reflect, answer the questions below to create your own affirmations. After that, we hope you are able to feel good about the amazing person that you are!
